This installation reflects on the rhythms of the body by presenting biological data mediated as sound and visual displays. It is a large scale installation which fills the warehouse space of Hart's Mill in Port Adelaide, transforming it into a dark soundscape. Though this is part of the Fringe visual arts category it seems more of an ambiguously scientific and metaphysical work.

The venue is divided into five interactive spaces that can be explored. In one corner a ring of speakers surround the audience, bathing them in slow, rhythmic sounds. Meanwhile a looming metal structure forms a space to contemplate geometric forms to a high pitched whining soundtrack. The main failing of this work is that it is unemotive and inaccessible. The concepts of biology and the golden ratio are not developed into anything meaningful. The point of the installation appears to be the high production budget that allows for this scale of presentation. The content is an unimpressive afterthought, and though Port Adelaide is lovely Soma - Body Transformation Installation barely warrants the trip.
