Situated on the corner of Chambers Street and South Bridge, Biblos’ proximity to Edinburgh University makes it a popular hangout for students in need of a good feed and water.

The high ceilings, big windows and comfy leather armchairs make up for the jaded mock library décor. It is a good place if you are looking for a laid back bite to eat or a casual drink.

For lunch and dinner you can choose from the usual pub grub or something a little more adventurous. Students can take advantage of the select 2 for 1 on main meals, which works out as great value for money. A generous sized homemade burger is very juicy and satisfying, served with thick cut chips and salad. Even though quality loses out to quantity, this meal fills an empty stomach. The staff could be more attentive, but nonetheless service is warm and friendly.
