Edinburgh is well known for its fine literary tradition and also for its underground gothic scene; two aspects that collide nightly at this large pub just off Queen Street in the New Town.

Highly stylised and popular with the alternative crowd, Jekyll and Hyde's serves up typical British pub fare: gammon, steak, sausages feature heavily, all served with shed loads of chips
The drinks menu, however, is the main attraction here. The real thrill is the names: Sloth, Pride, Greed, etc. for the cocktails and virtues like Prudence, Charity and Faith for the shorts.  Pick of the bunch is “Envy”: Creme de Menthe, White Cacao, Cream and Milk. Gorgeous.
