Working Girls is supposedly a tale of three rich young princesses being sent out into the world of work, and away from the dependency of Daddy's credit card. In reality, Working Girls is a tale of three young stage school princesses giving a master class in how not to perform comedy. Its ultimate downfall is its chosen format; quickfire sketches in which the girls tackle various jobs. The more average of the sketches finish too quickly, and the so-bad-you'll-want-to-die sketches are dragged out until breaking point. If the Chinese were to invent torture-by-comedy, chances are it would resemble this show. Yes folks, it really is that bad.

To be fair to those involved, they do attempt to put some energy and zest into their performance, despite the fact that every one of their sketches and gags meets with complete silence from the sparse crowd. It takes some guts to complete a show which is met with such indifference and apathy. In the depths of comedy hell, this show will sit proudly next to Ernest Goes to Camp and Them Next Door.
