What happens in the show?

Phil Ellis and the Funz and Gamez crew are back for their third show. It is aimed at kids but they sneak in lots of stuff for adults. I understood a lot more of that this year because I was eight when I saw the first Funz and Gamez and I'm 11 now.

Describe the show in five words

Dark humour with children's games.

Who was your favourite character and why?

Bonzo the dog was my favourite character this year. His timing with Phil Ellis was great and I liked the depressed look on his face.

Two years ago I complained that Jim the Elf didn't get enough stage time but this year he got more and had to stop the 'koala' going after the children. It was one of the funniest moments in the show.

Were there any characters you didn’t like?

No. I would have liked Uncle Mike to be there in person, even though his video call from prison was still a very funny scene.

What did you like most about the show?

One of my favourite parts of the show was when Jim the Elf told the audience to try and kill Phil with plastic balls. Phil got so angry he used two Nerf guns to shoot Nerf bullets, but he had to aim at the ceiling because he wasn't legally allowed to shoot the audience. Earlier on he shot Bonzo the dog. With a water pistol.

What didn’t you like about the show?

I liked the new character the Sun (like on Teletubbies but aged) and the koala, but I feel they are trying to squeeze too many characters into an hour long show. I like seeing the original cast.

What did your grown-up think of the show?

Mum thought this was better than Funz and Gamez Tooz, which we went to two years ago in George Square Gardens.

Would you tell your friends to come and see the show?

Yes. I would tell my friends to go and see it and I'd want to find out if they get the two different sides to the humour.
