FLEURIEU FILM FESTIVAL

A passion for short film and a desire to support filmmakers inspired the inaugural Fleurieu Film Festival and the response from filmmakers, patrons and sponsors has been brilliant. *The first three festivals were sold out and last year 6 world premiere films were screened. In recognition of a growing interest from younger audiences and tertiary institutions involved in screen production there will be a new award at this year’s festival - the Young Filmmakers Award - for 18 to 24-year-old filmmakers. Another new initiative will be a Film Makers Forum on Sunday 11 February. Presented in conjunction with industry partners it will further our aim to engage and support Australian filmmakers. The Awards Night screening on Saturday 9 February 2019 will again thrill with wild live music and a screening of our 10 finalists.
